Safety is the founding value of VB Engineering. Our Chairman's promise — "We Believe in Keeping You Safer" — is the standard by which every engagement is delivered. This Policy sets our commitment across every VB office, every client site, and every deliverable.
VB Engineering is committed to protecting the health and safety of every employee, contractor, client engineer, and third party who works with us or is affected by our activities. Safety is not a compliance overhead — it is the reason our practice exists. Arc flash safety, HAZOP, QRA, LOPA, SIL, and functional safety are the disciplines our clients hire us to deliver. We hold ourselves to the same standard we ask them to meet.
Our safety management system aligns with the principles of ISO 45001:2018 and integrates the standards our clients rely on:
Every VB safety-critical deliverable is signed by a Chartered Engineer (CEng MIE, FIE, or equivalent) with proven competence in the specific discipline. This is not a marketing statement — it is the accountability that our practice model rests on. The Chartered signature carries personal professional-body accountability under the Institution of Engineers (India), the Institution of Engineering & Technology (UK), NCEES (US), Engineers Australia, and equivalents.
Every deliverable is independently reviewed by a Principal Reviewer before being signed by the Practice Lead. No single-person deliverable leaves VB. This two-sign discipline is our internal check on both technical accuracy and safety.
Every VB engineer, at every level, has the right and duty to refuse or stop work that they believe is unsafe. No performance penalty, career penalty, or contract penalty shall be imposed on any VB engineer who exercises this right in good faith. This right applies whether the risk is to the engineer, to a client-site worker, or to a third party.
Near-misses, incidents, and unsafe conditions are reported through the VB safety management system. Lessons learned are extracted, documented, and integrated into training and procedure updates. We conduct annual internal safety audits and are subject to client-driven audits on their sites.
Safety concerns, incident reports, or requests for our safety documentation may be submitted to [email protected]. Concerns are addressed within one (1) business day.
