Quality Policy.

Every VB Engineering deliverable is built on the same disciplined workflow: reconciled single-line, appropriate hero platform, operating-company standards, Chartered Engineer signature, Principal Reviewer sign-off, and audit trail. This is our commitment to consistent excellence.

Effective: 1 July 2026 · Version: 1.0 · Aligned with ISO 9001:2015 (Quality Management Systems) principles.

01Our commitment.

VB Engineering is committed to delivering engineering work of consistently high quality — technical accuracy, compliance with applicable standards, client-appropriate delivery, and traceable audit trail. Our quality management approach is aligned with the principles of ISO 9001:2015 and structured to satisfy the audit requirements of our F500 enterprise clients.

02Quality objectives.

  • Technical accuracy · every calculation traceable to an input, every input verified against source, every output reviewed against a standard.
  • Standards compliance · every deliverable references the specific standards applicable in the client's operating jurisdiction (NFPA 70E, IEEE 1584, IEC 61511, IS 3043, AS/NZS 4836, BS 7671, Aramco SAES, ADNOC SAES, Qatar Energy ELE, GB Standards, and equivalents).
  • Consistent delivery · same deliverable format, same section structure, same signature discipline, in every country.
  • Audit-ready trail · every deliverable is reconstructable from source data, calculation notebook, and revision history.
  • On-time delivery · target on-time rate of ≥ 95% against agreed schedule.
  • Client satisfaction · measured through post-engagement client feedback and retention rate.

03Two-sign discipline.

Every VB deliverable is subject to a two-signature discipline before release:

  • Practice Lead — a Chartered Engineer (CEng MIE or equivalent) with proven competence in the specific discipline — drafts and signs the deliverable.
  • Principal Reviewer — an independent senior engineer (CEng MIE FIE MIET or equivalent) — conducts independent review and countersigns.

No deliverable leaves VB with a single signature. This discipline is embedded in our workflow — it is the difference between a report and an engineering opinion.

04Engineering methodology.

Our standard workflow for every deliverable:

  1. Site walkdown + as-found verification — physical verification of equipment, nameplate confirmation, CT/PT ratio, breaker settings, client engineer co-signature.
  2. Single-line diagram reconciliation — legacy SLD compared to field, drift documented per equipment.
  3. Modelling on approved hero platform — ETAP, DigSILENT, or PSCAD for Power System Studies; Leica Cyclone for LiDAR; SmartPlant / AutoCAD Plant 3D for As-Built; FlexSim, AnyLogic, or Simio for Simulation.
  4. Standards check — deliverable conforms to the operating-company specification stack (KSA, UAE, Qatar, India, USA, UK, Australia, etc.) applicable to the client site.
  5. Chartered Engineer signature — Practice Lead signs.
  6. Principal Reviewer countersignature — independent senior review.
  7. Client walkthrough — findings presented in structured briefing.
  8. Archival — project archived with source data, calculation notebook, revision history, and signed deliverable retained for the retention period agreed with the client (typically five years minimum).

05Client engagement.

Every engagement begins with a written engagement letter defining scope, deliverable, standards to be applied, milestones, acceptance criteria, and pricing. Change control is written. Handover includes a signed acceptance document.

06Nonconformance and correction.

If a nonconformance is identified — in an internal review, a client feedback, or an external audit — it is logged in our nonconformance register, root-cause analysed, corrected, and the correction validated. Systemic issues drive procedure updates and staff retraining.

07Continuous improvement.

We conduct annual internal quality audits, participate in client-driven vendor audits, and periodically engage external assessors. Lessons learned from projects are extracted and integrated into training and procedure updates.

08Accountability.

The Chairman holds ultimate accountability for the VB quality management system. Day-to-day management is delegated to the Business Head and to Discipline Practice Leads. The Board reviews quality performance annually.
